Mahia (the Moroccan Jewish word for Arak) is a group of graduates of the school "All my bones shall say", a dance school for orthodox Jewish men based in Jerusalem.

The ensemble combines the Dabke dance along with connections to contemporary dance. The viewer's experience is accompanied by learning basic steps and ending with a joint dance celebration.

The members of Mahia operate mainly in the public space (the Mahne Yehuda shuk, in the Old City of Jerusalem, Zion Square, and other public venues) and carry out "intervention in the space" all over Jerusalem.

When Mahia goes out to the street, the entire area turns into a dance floor. People meet, mingle and make new connections.

The group was founded in 2014 and meets regularly every week.

The Mahia Group is growing and welcomes new members.
